Floor Varnishing
For the varnished version, 2 coats of primer are applied at the end of the sanding process, followed by 3 coats of varnish. The floor is extremely durable and ideal for households with pets and/or children.
The varnish layer is hard and strong, protecting the parquet floor from liquids and dirt.
Floor Oiling
Oiled surface finishes have become increasingly popular as the wooden floor feels authentic and can be clearly distinguished from laminate and PVC flooring materials. Visually, an oiled surface is a true eye-catcher, and the wood is showcased at its best throughout.
An oiled wooden floor always has open pores, meaning that the oil or wax is absorbed into the wood without sealing the pores. Oiled parquet flooring is breathable, which has a positive effect on the room's climate.
The greatest advantage of an oiled surface is that the floor is easy to repair. In the case of deep scratches or stains, there are good options for repair; therefore, it is not necessary to replace the board, as a spot repair is sufficient.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which installation method should you prefer – floating or adhesive?
Floating installation means that there is no solid connection between the parquet and the subfloor, the floor is installed on a special underlayment with a click system. This is a faster and more affordable solution. However, a floating floor may be more sensitive to creaking and small movements.
Advantages of glued parquet
Glue-down installation is the traditional method of installing parquet flooring, especially for classic patterns such as herringbone and chevron. This technique involves attaching each block or plank directly to the subfloor using glue.
Glued parquet is firmly attached to the subfloor, making it very durable and long-lasting. The glue prevents the board from moving and reduces wear.
Glued parquet conducts heat better than floating parquet. Underfloor heating works more efficiently and evenly.
A properly glued parquet floor can last for decades and can be sanded and refinished several times.
When should parquet be sanded?
Parquet sanding is appropriate if the floor is scratched and the protective top layer has worn away. A yellowish tint and major damage to the floor are also signs that sanding is necessary. Sanding removes the old parquet coating and levels the floor surface. The parquet floor is sanded with several different grits of paper, depending on its condition. Major damage can be repaired. Finally, the surface is treated with varnish or oil.

The biggest advantage of a varnished wooden floor is its high load-bearing capacity. The floor is extremely durable and is ideal for households with pets and/or children. In addition, a varnished surface is ideal for heavily loaded wooden floors, for example, if you are furnishing a restaurant with parquet flooring, a varnished surface is always recommended.
